Our 3rd recycling center is off to a flying start !

After RoxPET in Lesquin, 12 years ago,
We were the 1st water bottlers in Europe to set up a PET plastic recycling unit to use the recycled material to manufacture our bottles.
After the RoxPET center in St Yorre, inaugurated a few weeks ago,
We have created the 1st fully-integrated PET recycling center, right through to bottling, on a single site.
FILAO’s 3rd recycling center in Charleroi, Belgium, is now under construction, with delivery scheduled for the end of the year!
With FILAO, we’re creating a circular economy in Belgium that’s unique in Europe: Belgian bottles are recycled in Belgium to become new bottles for the Belgian market!
A partnership between Sources ALMA and SUEZ Belgium, FILAO is the first integrated PET bottle recycling plant in Belgium: from beverage bottles collected in the famous “blue bags” (the equivalent of our “yellow bins”), FILAO will manufacture high-quality recycled PET, destined to become, in our preform plants in Hauts de France, new bottles for our spring waters, mineral waters and beverages destined…. for the Belgian market! And we’ve come full circle!
No other country has gone so far in the circular economy and short-circuit recycling!
The countdown has begun, and the site of our future plastic bottle recycling plant, FILAO, was inaugurated in the presence of Environment Minister Céline Tellier, Walloon Government Vice-President Willy Borsus and Charleroi Mayor Paul Magnette!
